In order to guarantee the integrity and longevity of the continuously anodised product, Coil carries out regular testing to ensure:
- Consistent gloss levels of the surface finish
- Consistent anodic film thickness
- Consistent colour
- Quality of sealing
- Corrosion resistance
- Weather resistance
For many years, the QUALANOD standard has been the accepted standard for anodising. However, this standard was developed for batch anodising where the production parameters are much less precise, greater colour and gloss variation is accepted and where the anodic film is not flexible, rendering post transformation more difficult.
Coil has recently introduced the QSCA standard for continuous anodising, which is expected to become the new standard for architectural specifications for the continuously anodised product.

In addition to production and laboratory testing Coil has carried out an extensive survey of buildings in various locations throughout Europe to verify the long term on-site performance of the product.
