1972 Company is founded by Belgian entrepreneur, Robert Keyaerts. Coil opens first 5 500 tonne continuous anodising line in Europe at its site in Landen, Belgium
1975 Second 5 500 tonne continuous anodising line opened in Landen, Belgium
1985 Third 15 000 tonne continuous anodising line opened in Landen, Belgium permitting the company to treat metal up to 2 200 wide and up to 3.5mm in gauge. The dimensional capacity of this line remains unsurpassed over 25 years after it first came into service.
1989 Management buy-in in one of first such transactions to be completed in Belgium backed by leading private Belgian investors
1992 Management buy-out backed by institutional and industrial investors from UK, France, USA and Belgium
1995 Fourth continuous anodising line opened in Landen, Belgium permitting the treatment of metal in thinner gauges from 0.2mm to 1.2mm at high speed and combining the possibility of both anodising and coating on the same production line
1996 Company is floated on the Paris Stock Exchange
2005 New state-of-the-art 15 000 tonne continuous anodising line completed on a brand new production site in Bernburg, Germany
2010 Change of shareholding structure and Board of Directors
2011 Coil announces the construction of a second 15 000 tonne continuous anodising line in Bernburg, Germany
